Assam paddler Priyanuj Bhattacharya bags triple crown in RG Baruah Memorial All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Championship

GUWAHATI: Promising paddler Priyanuj Bhattacharya from Guwahati bagged triple crown in the 12th RG Baruah Memorial All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Championship which concluded at the Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor stadium in the city today. Priyanuj won titles in U-17 boys, U-19 boys and Men's singles.

Meanwhile Bhumika Kaushik, also from Guwahati, bagged double crown in the championship. She won titles in U-17 and U-19 girls categories. In the women's singles Trisha Gogoi of OIL won the title defeating Adrija Sarmah (Guwahati) 4-0. Priyanuj in the mens final defeated Agniv Bhaskar Gohain 4-2. Priyanuj later adjudged the best player of the meet. Sankalpa Deka (Namrup) and Praharsha Kashyap (Nagaon) collected the most promising players of the championship.
