GUWAHATI: Assam men's team registered their first victory in the 71st Senior national volleyball championship at the Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Indoor Stadium here on Friday. Hosts in their second game defeated Uttar Pradesh by 25-22, 25-19 and 25-14.

The results of other matches: Mens- Madhya Pradesh bt Chhattisgarh 3-1, Bengal bt Ladakh 3-0, Delhi bt Goa 3-1. Puducherry bt Manipur 3-0, Odisha bt Tripura 3-0, Chandigarh bt Maharashtra 3-1.

Women: Chhattisgarh bt Jammu and Kashmir 3-0, Gujarat bt Punjab 3-0, Uttarakhand bt ladakh 3-0, Odisha bt Puducherry 3-0, Haryana bt Maharashtra 3-0, Chandigarh bt Karnataka 3-0.
