Assam win 43 medals in Senior National Kickboxing Championship at New Delhi

LAKHIMPUR: The Assam teams have brought laurels to the State by bagging a total of 43 medals, including 17 gold, 9 silver and 17 bronze, in 14th Sub Junior 15th Junior and 16th Senior National Kickboxing Championship held at Talkatora Stadium New Delhi from January 3-6. The Assam team has won the 2nd Runner-up title in the 14th Sub-Junior Kickboxing Championship.

The gold medelists in the fight event of the championship are Ghreetam Bhuyan, Saklin Samied, Manash Sarmah, Swapnaraj Hazarika, Koyal Barik, Anamika Devi, Dipti Dahal, Ekalabya Biswakarma, Karan Lamsal, Kankana Saikia, Rumi Proja while silver medalists are Riya Rani Saikia, Kunal Roy, Parthaprotim Hazarika, Anushka Boruah, Mayuri Kakoti, Kalpana Pradhan, Purnam Das and Sneha Devi. Anikha Devi, Rajashree Hazarika, Om Magar, Rimpi Devi, Raj Chetry, Sneha Chetry and Neha Chetry secured bronze medals in the same event. On the other hand, gold medalists in the musical form in the tournament are Pallab Patar and Anushka Borah while Kankana Saikia bagged silver medal and Luit Nilim Bora, Ghreetam Bhuyan, Rimpi Devi, Anshuman Das, Rumi Proja, Ekalabya Biswakarma bagged bronze medal. Riya Rani Saikia, Prince Gorkha Dhakal, Swati Gorkha Dhakal secured gold medals in aerokickboxing while Koyal Barik, Anamika Devi, Karan Bhumij and Bishal Tamang. Master Hamid Ashraf secured bronze medals.
