Assam win by 4 runs in U-23 Women T20 Cricket tournament

GUWAHATI: Assam defeated Jharkhand by four runs in the U-23 Women T20 Cricket tournament in Jaipur today. Elected to bat, Assam scored 119-7 in 20 overs. Ruhina Pegu (40) was the top scorer.

In reply Jharkhand managed to score 115-6 in their 20 overs. Priyanka and Sonia contributed 49 and 44 runs respectively. Among the Assam bowlers Nibedita played a crucial role, 3-9, to restrict Jharkhand below the total of Assam.
