Barhoongkha Athletic Club of Kokrajhar reach final

KOKRAJHAR: Barhoongkha Athletic Club of Kokrajhar entered the final of the ongoing 20th Bodoland Martyrs’ Gold Cup soccer being held at Banargaon defeating ASEB, Guwahati via tiebreaker in the 1st semi-final match played today.

Barhoongkha scored a goal before half time but ASEB equalized it in the dying time. In the tie break, Barhoongkha won the match by 5-4 goals.

Meanwhile, the Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) felicitated the women football team of Kokrajhar which bagged the championship trophy of Inter-District Senior Women Football Championship defeating Rangia district sports association by 5-0 goals held in Goalpara recently. BTC EM Rajib Brahma felicitated the women footballers with traditional Aronai and trek suit sets.
