Big Win for Assam Titans at North East Futsal League

GUWAHATI: Assam Titans defeated Nagaland Super five 5-1 in the opening game of the North East Futsal League which got underway at the Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Stadium here today.

Nagaland made a good start and scored the 1st goal of the match through their captain Nyithong Magh within three minutes of the game. Titans made a great comeback by scoring two goals through Aklanta Basu and Carlos Anotio. In the 2nd half Manoj Chetry of Assam scored a hat-trick and helped home team to register a comprehensive win.

Earlier North East Futsal League (NEFL) kicked-off in a colourful function. Alobo Naga(Nagaland) and Equilibrium(Goa) dazzeled with their performance in the opening ceremony. Former international footballer Debasish Roy, former international swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika and Everester Manish Deka were present in the opening ceremony.
