Bir Raghab Moran Volleyball Championship meet begins in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Bir Raghab Moran Volleyball Championship got under way at the Volleyball Coaching Centre Court in the city today. Former captain of Indian volleyball team Abhijit Bhattacharyya inaugurated the competition in presence of Assam Olympic Association's secretary Lakhya Konwar, Balin Chetia (MLA, Sadia), Naren Sonowal (MLA, Naharkotia) along with several others. Altogether 12 teams are taking part in the two-day meet.

Day's result: Badosa Club bt GVCC 2-0. South Kamrup bt Guwahati Volleyball club 2-0, ONGC bt Jalukbari 2-0, ONGC bt 4th APBn 2-0, ASEBSC bt Badosa Club 2-0, Assam Police bt South Kamrup 2-0, NF Railway bt Bhergaon 2-0, NF Railway bt Udipta 2-0, Udipta bt Bhergaon 2-0.
