Bodoland Martyrs’Gold Cup Football tournament kicks off

Kokrajhar: Barhoongkha Athletic Club of Kokrajhar won the inaugural match of 20th Bodoland Martyrs’ Gold Cup Football tournament held at Banargaon defeating Ferenga Club of Bijni by 1-0 goal.

The Chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary kicked off the tournament after introducing it with the players. The inaugural match was also attended by Assam Minister Pramila Rani Brahma, BTC EM of Sports and Youth Welfare Doneswar Goyary, EM of Water Resources Rajib Brahma, DC, Kokrajhar PP Mazumdar, commandant of 7APBn. M. M. Boro, Secretary of Assam Football Association Hemendra Nath Brahma.

Earlier, the international boxer Jamuna Boro was felicitated by BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary. The cheque of Rs. 2 lakh from BPF and Rs. 1 lakh from Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) and Ex-BLT Welfare Society was handed over to Jamuna Boro by Mohilary
