Bordoloi Trophy: Assam Police Blues finish with a win

GUWAHATI: Assam Police Blues defeated Lenroul FC 3-0 in the penaltymate group ‘A’ League matches of the 69th Bordoloi Trophy held at the Nehru Stadium here today. Malaram Basumatary scored two goals in the match and Rohit Tayegam was the other scorer. With this match both Assam Police Blues and Lenroul FC finished their campaign in the competition. Lenroul collected one point from their three matches and finished at the end of the points table and Assam Police Blues are at the third place with 3 points from the same number of matches.

Meanwhile United Chirangduar stormed into the semi final from group ‘B’ in the competition defeating Elevenstar Club of Bongaigaon by 2-1 at Mangaldoi on Thursday. Baoringdao Boro and Jerry netted for the winning team and Semin Thang Haokip was the scorer for Elevenstar.
