Channel swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika to attempt two more channels

GUWAHATI: Channel swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika has set new target and this time he will try to cross two more Channels in the next year. Before that he will also attempt to swim two different routes in the Arabian sea which will be held in December this year. Elvis, former international swimmer, recently crossed the English Channel in relay swimming.

Talking to the media persons, Elvis today said, “I have planned to cross two more channels-one in South Africa and another one in the USA, next year. The South African part will be held in March where I shall swim Robben Island to Blouberg and again from Robben Island to Green Points, Cape town. Later in August I shall attempt the Molokai Channel Swimming in the USA (relay).”

Elvis also added that in December, 2023 he would swim from Elephanta Caves to Gateway of India and later from Gujarat to Mumbai via Goa (relay).
