DDK, Devajit Dutta clinch title in table tennis event in NE Media Sports Festival

GUWAHATI: DDK and Devajit Dutta won team and individual (Men's) title in the table tennis event in North East Media Sports Festival held at the Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor stadium here today. DDK, in well contested team event final, defeated the Assam Tribune by 2-1. Doordarshan team was represented by Gautam Sharma, Santanu Chakraborty and Adnan Syed while P J Barua and Ritutaj Borthakur turned up for The Assam Tribune.

In the men's singles category Devajit Dutta of Assam Aditya clinched the title beating PJ Barua of the Assam Tribune by 11-9, 11-5.

Meanwhile Harendra Nath Barua Memorial Inter Media Football Championship will kick off tomorrow at the Nehru Stadium. My News NE will face Pratidin Time in the opening game.
