Delhi outplay Assam in U-23 Women T20 Cricket Tournament

GUWAHATI: Assam made the worst start in the U-23 Women T20 Cricket tournament as the hosts lost their opening game to Delhi by a huge margin of 116 runs here today. Chasing 141 runs to win the entire team was bowled out paltry 24 runs. Assam lost both the openers when the score was 0 and seven of the team’s batswomen failed to open their account in the match. Ruhina Pegu (10) was the top scorer. Earlier Shewta Sehrawat (41), Ayushi Soni (32) and Jyoshi Soni (39) played a key role with the bat to put Delhi in the driver seat.
