Dibrugarh bag both titles in Sub Junior Inter District Kho-Kho Championship

GUWAHATI: Dibrugarh lifted both boys and girls titles in the Sub Junior Inter District Kho-Kho Championship which concluded at the Sarusajai Sports complex here today. In the boys final Dibrugarh defeated Tamulpur by 24-17 while in the girls category Dibrugarh won against Sonapur by 20-13. Sekhardeep Gogoi and Kankana Barsaikia, both from Dibrugarh, received best player awards in boys and girls category respectively. The award function was attended by former Commissioner and Secretary of Industries and Commerce Swapnanil Barua, President of Assam Kho Kho Association Rajib Prakash Barua, President of the Sports Journalists Federation of India Subodh Malla Barua and president of the Guwahati Kho Kho Association Pranjit Saikia. Champion team in each category received Rs 5,000 and runners-up team were collected Rs 3,000 each.
