East Mojo win media football title at Nehru Stadium

GUWAHATI: East Mojo won the Harendra Nath Baruah Inter-Media 7-a-side football title, which is part of the TOPCEM-ASJA Media Sports Festival held at Nehru Stadium here on Sunday. In the final, East Mojo beat host Assam Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) by 1-0. The all-important goal was scored by Kaustab Chakraborty.

In the first semifinal, ASJA defeated Pratidin Time by 1-0 with the help of Dilip Kalita’s goal. In the second semifinal, riding on Kaustab Chakraborty’s goal, East Mojo beat DDK, Guwahati by 1-0.

Dhiren Sharma of ASJA was declared player of the tournament. Earlier Sports organiser and retired ACS officer Rajib Prakash Baruah and former joint director of the Sports and Youth welfare department Pradip Hazarika were present during the closing ceremony.
