GUWAHATI: Electronic Media lifted the Topcem ASJA T20 Inter Media Cricket Championship title defeating Media Management by 81 runs in the title clash at Judges Field today. After scoring 181 in allotted 20 overs with the help of Ranjit Sangmai’s ton they restricted the opponent at just 100 for 8 wickets to register the victory.
Ranjit who scored 108 in 60 balls with 13 fours and 4 sixes was adjudged as the player of the match trophy. Jatin Talukdar got the player of the tournament trophy. Mriganka Sarma and Binay Kalita of Electronic Media received the best batsman and best bowler awards respectively while Anupam Roy of Barak Valley got the best fielder trophy. The champion team was awarded cash of Rs 20,000 while the runner up took away Rs 15,000.
Assam Cricket Association president Romen Dutta, sports organizer Swapnil Baruah were present in the prize distribution ceremony. Earlier Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna inaugurated the final match.
