FC Green Valley and Gauhati Town Club Share Points In GSA Super Division Football League

GUWAHATI: FC Green Valley and Gauhati Town Club shared points in the GSA Super Division Football League tie which ended as draw at the Nehru Stadium here today. Both the sides scored three goals each in the match.

Although the match failed to produce any results but it was probably the best game of this edition of the league. The first half witnessed three goals and second half also produces same number of goals.

On the other hand Gauhati Town Club took lead three times in the game but on every occasion Green Valley managed to get the equalizer. Green Valley played last 14 minutes of the tie with 10-men as their captain Lucky Imran received marching order because of double yellow cards in the game.

The match was just 11 minutes old when Binan Singh put Gauhati Town Club ahead with a nice free kick. He also scored the second goal of the side in the 40th minutes. Kakhevi Assumi was the other scorer for Gauhati Town club who scored his side’s third goal in the 70th minutes.

Meanwhile it was Rakesh Das who scored the first equalizer for Green valley in the 34th minutes. Joseph Mayowa made it 2-2 in the 47th minutes. The side scored the third goal when it looked like that Gauhati Town Club almost ensured three points from the game. Match was 4th minutes of the injury time when Victor Shadap nicely placed the ball inside the net and ensured one point for Green Valley.
