Final round of Guwahati Open International Grandmasters Chess Championship today

GUWAHATI: The final round of the Guwahati Open International Grandmasters Chess Championship will be held at the Tarun Ram Phukan Indoor Stadium here tomorrow. Four players-Grandmaster Delgado Ramirez Neuris (Paraguay), grandmaster Ponkartove Pavel (Russia), grandmaster Fawzy Asham (Egypt) and IM Krishna CRF (India) are now jointly leading the points table after the end of the ninth rounds. All have collected 7.5 points each.

Meanwhile two players from Assam IM Sahil Dey and Rahul S Singh are in fray to finish the competition staying among the top 25 ranked.
