Guwahati City to host Judo meet from August 27

GUWAHATI: East Zone Khelo India Women's League/Ranking Judo Championship will be held in Guwahati from August 27. Around 400 participants from 11 States will take part in the competition. The secretary of the All Assam Judo Association Zafer Khan today informed the media that there will be 9 weight categories in the sub junior event and 8 in the cadet event. Junior and senior will have seven categories each. Tournament Director Abhijit Das also present in the media briefing. He added: "There will be altogether 124 medal in the meet for the participants which included 31gold, 31 silver and 62 bronze. Selected players from this competition will be able to take part in the National Level Championship."
