Guwahati India Open International Rating Chess Tournament Begins

GUWAHATI: The 3rd Guwahati India Open International Rating chess tournament was inaugurated by Minister for Water Resources, Science and Technology & IT of Assam Keshab Mahanta in presence of several former chess players. A total of 356 players including GM Vasquez Schroeder Rodrigo, from Chile, Belgium, Thailand, Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal and host India are participating in this 6-day International event which carries prize money of Rs 10 lakh.
