Hima Das And Team Fail To Qualify In IAAF World Relays

GUWAHATI: Indian team bowed out from both men and women category of the IAAF World Relays held in Yokohama in Japan today. Women team comprised of Hima Das, M. R. Poovamma, Saritaben Gayakwad and V K Vismaya finished over all in 17th place. Hima, who came from injury, made second best performance among the quartet and completed her race in 52.60 sec. V K Vismaya (52.33),, who run the last lap, made the best timing. Indian men team also finished at the overall 17th place.
