India will play two warm-up matches before the main draw of the tournament. Rohit Sharma’s men will lock horns against England in the first warm-up on September 30 in Guwahati.

GUWAHATI: Guwahati is left out from the main event of the ICC World Cup but the city will host four warm-up matches of the competition. Among the four games one will involve India which will be held on September 30.

The warm matches will take place one week before the World Cup and will kick off on September 29. India will play two warm-up matches before the main draw of the tournament. Rohit Sharma’s men will lock horns against England in the first warm-up on September 30 in Guwahati. Later the team will fly to Thiruvananthapuram to play their last warm-up game against Qualifier 1 on October 3.

The three venues finalised for the warm-ups are Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati. Hyderabad is also listed as the host in the main event, however, only three games will take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal.
