GUWAHATI: Jammu and Kashmir scored 59-1 on day I against Assam in the Ranji trophy tie in Jammu today. Only 18 overs were possible on the first day because of bad light. Assam’s captain Gokul Sarma today won the toss and decided to field first. Both the openers of local team Ahmed Bandey and Suryansh Raina made cautious start and added 44 runs on the first wicket before Arup Das removed Ahmed (31). Thereafter only three overs were possible.
