Madhusmrita & Swapna give Assam 3 more medals in Inter-State Weightlifting Championships

GUWAHATI: Madhusmrita Barua and Swapna Priya Baruah gave 3 more medals to Assam in the Inter-State Weightlifting Championships in Kolkata today. Madhusmrita crowned one gold and silver while Swapna Priya bagged a bronze. Madhusmrita participated in the 87kg category, lifted 87kg in Snatch and 113 kg in Jerk on way to win gold medal. She won the silver in the overall category. On the other hand, Swapna Priya took part in the 81kg Category, lifted 84kg in snatch and 108kg in Jerk on way to win the bronze.
