Maharana, Green Valley share points in GSA RG Baruah Super Division Football League

GUWAHATI: Maharana AC and FC Green Valley shared points in the GSA RG Baruah Super Division Football League at the Nehru Stadium here today. The match between the two sides ended 2-2 draw.

The first half of the game was dominated by Green Valley and they also scored two goals in that half. Sakirul Ali put Green Valley ahead in the 44th minute and Robert Khongjoh increased the margin in the second minutes of added times in the same half.

However Maharana AC came back strongly in the second half and returned both the goals through Joydeep Gogoi (80th minute) and Anupam Borgohain (90+7). Maharana scored their last goal converting a spot kick.

Meanwhile, unruly scenes marked the game as an intense scuffle erupted between the players of the two teams during the fag end. The match was also stopped for several minutes.
