Manthan Kashyap Datta Wins GTC Chess Grand Prix 2018

GUWAHATI: Manthan Kashyap Datta of Delhi Public School clinched the 8th edition of the GTC Chess Grand Prix 2018 held at Gauhati Town Club yesterday. Manthan Scored 5.5 points in 6 rounds competition.

In the U-9 boys category Vedant Veer Heda of Donbosco School became champion by scoring 5 points out of 6 rounds while in the girls section Afsheen Afsha Zaman of Maria’s Public School emerged champion by scoring 6 points from 6 rounds. Altogether 55 players from across the city participated in this day-long chess tournament.
