Mumbai beat Assam by 8 wickets

GUWAHATI: Assam lost to Mumbai by 8 wickets in the Senior Women One Day Trophy at Nagpur here on Thursday. Chasing 134 runs to win, Mumbai reached the target in 22.2 overs losing two wickets. Earlier Uma Chetry (50) played a good knock but still Assam failed to put a big total on the board as contributions of other batters were not so good. opener Hiramoni Saikia (25) was the second highest scorer in the team. Jagravi Pawar made one of the best performances in the competition with ball picking 7-14 in her seven overs spell.
