Nayanika Deka of Assam defeats 2nd seed Anisha Pandey of West Bengal in AITA Ranking

GUWAHATI: Nayanika Deka of Assam caused a major upset by defeating 2nd seed Anisha Pandey of West Bengal in girls singles quarter-final of AITA Ranking at the Chachal Tennis Complex here today. Nayanika won the tie in straight set 6-2, 6-2. In another girl under 14 quarterfinal, Tania Kumari of Assam defeated 7th seed Yumnam Thoibi of Manipur 6-0, 6-1. In the boys under 14 singles all the seeds moved to the quarterfinals.
