OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournaments from August 30

GUWAHATI: The All India Tennis Association (AITA) has allotted two Super Series Tennis Tournaments at Guwahati. The first tournament for boys and girls under 16 years age group will be held from August 30 to September 3 and the second tournament for boys and girls under 14 years age group will be held from September 6 to 10 at the All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) Complex, Chachal. Both the tournaments will be sponsored by Oil India Limited. The All Assam Tennis Association has been organizing these OIL - AITA Super Series Tennis tournaments at Guwahati for last twelve years. Last year in 2020 these tournaments could not be organized due to COVID pandemic. This year also the Super Series tournament for boys and girls under 12 and 14 years which was to be held during July could not be organized due to rising COVID positive cases.

The AATA Secretary Ankush Dutta informs that both the tournaments will be organized by strictly following the COVID 19 protocols issued by the Government and Sports Authority of India. This was stated in an AATA press release.
