OILFC, Duliajan storm into semis of Bordoloi Trophy Football Championship

GUWAHATI : OILFC, Duliajan stormed into the semi finals of the 69th Bordoloi Trophy Football Championship defeating Assam Police Blues by a solitary goal at the Nehru Stadium here today. The all important goal of the match was scored by Akrang Narzary in the 85th minute.

It was OILFC who dominated in the game. The second half was a totally one sided affair and Duliajan outfit created several opportunities but failed to convert those into goals except once.

The only goal came just five minutes before the final whistle. Sirandeep Moran sent a nice cross from the right wing and Akrang Narzary, who was unmarked, headed the ball into the net.

With this victory OILFC collected 6 points from their two outings and are now at the top of the group ‘A’ points table.
