Prasar Bharati, Media Management win in Topcem ASJA T20 Inter Media Cricket

GUWAHATI: Prasar Bharati and Media Management won their respective matches in the Topcem ASJA T20 Inter Media Cricket which got underway at the Judges Ground here today. Prasar Bharati in a well-contested opening tie defeated Sports Journalists XI by two wickets. The second game of the day was also well contested where Media Management beat Electronics Media by 7 wickets in the last over.

Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by Member Secretary of State Level Advisory Committee for Students and Youth Welfare Lakhya Konwar. The inaugural function was also attended by the secretary of the Assam Cricket Association Debojit Saikia, Top official of Sales and Marketing (Topcem) Anil Kapoor, Assistant Director (DDK) Arindam Bora, sports organizer Rajiv Prakash Barua, former national footballer and coach Hem Das, senior journalists Pabitra Gogoi, Pranoy Bordoloi, Bidyut Kalita, Rajkumar Sarma and the president of the Assam Sports Journalists Association Subodh Malla Barua.

Brief score: 1st game-Sports Journalists XI:124-4 (20 overs), Rajdeep Das 34, Amaresh Sinha (25no), Kausav Barua 22, Manjit Mahanta ( MOM, 3 wickets); Prasar Bharati: 126-8 (17.1 over), Gauranga Gogoi 32, Bikash Das 28 and Gautam Sarma 16 (no), Amaresh Singh (3 wickets) Lakhyajyoti Konwar and Rajdeep Das (2 wickets each).

2nd game: Electronics Media 133-7: (17 overs), Mriganka Sarma 69, Avinash Thakuria (3 wickets); Media Management 134-3 (16.5 overs), Jagjit Singh 54 (MOM), Saurav Nath 37, Jatin Das 22 (no).
