South failed to take advantage of Khusi's century

GUWAHATI: Northern Assam and Headquarter Zone won their respective matches in the 1st Kanaklata Baruah inter Zonal Women's Cricket championship in Guwahati today. Both the matches were held at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara. Northern Assam defeated Southern Assam by three wickets. The highlight of the game was a fine century from Khusi Sharma (100no, 127 balls, 4X11, 3X6) of South although her team failed to take advantage from it. Jintimoni Kalita (66) scored a half-century for the winner. In the other game Head Quarter registered 7 wickets victory over Central Assam.
