Suditya Baruah wins Gold in Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) in Panchkula

GUWAHATI: Assam won second gold medal in the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) through Suditya Baruah in Panchkula today. Suditya, participated in the 89 kg category in weightlifting, lifted 123 kg in snatch and 161 kg in clean and Jerk on way to win the gold medal.

Meanwhile Assam collected three more medals today and all were in Swimming. Among the three medals one was silver and other two were bronze. The silver was collected by Bikram Changmai in the men's 50m Butter Fly. Astha Choudhury and Uttra Gogoi bagged other two medals which were bronze. Astha participated in the women's 200m Freestyle and Uttara in women 50m Butter Fly.
