NAGAON: Nagaon District Taekwondo Association, a unique part of Assam Olympic Association, inaugurated a new taekwondo training center in front of Nagaon Mission High School here on Friday.

The training center was ceremonially inaugurated by noted sports organizer, senior athlete, social activist and the district president of Nagaon Taekwondo Association - Pradip Hazarika. While inaugurating the training center, the former sports organizer and the president of the district association, he said that the newly constructed as well as setup taekwondo training center would play a pivotal role to lead the youngsters of the district in the field of taekwondo in the days to come.

While addressing the occasion, general secretary of Nagaon District Taekwondo Association Diganta Kumar Goswami intimated that over 40 new participants from the district had already registered their respective names for taekwondo training for the new session.

Senior coach Abdul Khalek, treasurer of the district taekwondo association Manuj Kumar Nath, subject teacher of Nagaon Govt Boys' HS School Saiful Islam, the parents of the participants as well as other dignitaries were present during the inaugural programme of the training center, a release added.
