Topcem-ASJA: Media Management beat Doordarshan Kendra to reach final by 30 runs

GUWAHATI: Media Management beat Doordarshan Kendra, Assam by 30 runs to reach the final of Topcem-ASJA Inter-Media T20 Cricket Championship at Nehru Stadium on Thursday.

Batting first, Media Management posted 166 runs in allotted 20 overs losing 2 wickets. Abuddin Khan scored 60 runs off 47 balls while opener Jagjit Singh remained unbeaten at 57. In reply, DD Assam managed 136 in allotted overs losing 9 wickets. Sanjay Basfor hit 38 while Nabajyoti Talukdar contributed 35 runs. Spinner Monoj Duwarah picked up 4 wickets for 26 runs.

Host ASJA will face Gauhati Press Club on Saturday.

Earlier, for Ranji players Javed Zaman and Mukut Das as well as sports organizer Bishnuram Nunisa were present during the inaugural ceremony.
