Trophies of Kargil War Martyr Bir Chakra Captain Jintu Gogoi memorial displayed

NAHARKATIA: The trophies of the Kargil War Martyr Bir Chakra Captain Jintu Gogoi memorial were displayed on Thursday at the Naharkatia Sports Association ground under the initiative of the Indian Army’s 8th Gorkha Rifles in the presence of hundreds of people and students. The martyr Bir Chakra Captain Jintu Gogoi memorial, 19th Edition Football Tournament will be held at Duliajan, Dibrugarh, Digboi and Tinsukia from December 8 under the initiative of the Indian Army and Oil India Limited, Duliajan.

A parade group of NCC, Piper band of Indian Army demonstrations, bihu troupes and traditional dance performances by various ethnic groups, courtesy the No. 8 Gorkha Rifles of Jaipur Army Camp, took out a procession in Naharkatia town and displayed the trophy at the naharkatia sports association ground.
