Veterans Doubles Tennis concludes

GUWAHATI: All Assam Veterans Doubles Tennis Tournament, organized by North East Tennis Foundation (NETF), concluded at the NETF courts in the city today. In the prize distribution ceremony, trophies were distributed by the chief guest Dr. N. K. Sharma, former treasurer of the All Assam Tennis Association. Before the award function a one minute silence was observed due to the demise of former Davis Cup player and renowned coach of the country Akhtar Ali. The All Assam Tennis Association also condoles the death.

Final results:- Above 65 years- Dipak Das and Shankar Lahkar bt Subhas Chandra Das and Pratul Phukan 6/1.Above 55 years-Dr. Bharat Phukan and Randip Baruah bt Ranjit Baruah and Raktim Phukan 9/2. Above 45 years-Dr. Anshuman Dutta and Vikram Barkataki bt Randip Baruah and Shahnawaz Zaffar 6/1, 6/3. Above 35 years- Priyanuz Lahkar and Chandra Sekhar Mohanty bt Rupjit Bharali and Samrat Mahanta 6/1, 6/3.
