Lovlina out from 36th National Games due to Injury

GUWAHATI: Olympic medallist boxer Lovlina Borgohain to miss the 36th National Games due to injury. She will be replaced by Bhagyabati Kachari. The secretary of the Assam Amateur Boxing Association Hemanta Kalita said that Lovlina got hurt in her nose during the selection trial for Asian Boxing Championship and the doctor advised the boxer to take three weeks rest.

Assam is expecting several medals from boxing in the forthcoming Games as all the star boxers- Shiva Thapa, Jamuna Boro, Ankushita Boro and Pwhilao Basumatary- will be seen in action for Assam.
