MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli share first look in India's Away Jersey to be worn against England

Guwahati: Team India players Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and other members showcased their newly designed Orange jersey ahead of the India Vs England World Cup 2019 clash. The two teams are to face each other in a high voltage match on Sunday as the colour of their original jerseys clashes, team India chose to wear a new colour for the match.

In a first, team India will be donning an Orange jersey and as the forthcoming match with the host team plays a great significance in earning a spot in the Semis for the Indian team, India hopes that the away jersey proves lucky for them.

Notably, this is the first time at the International Cricket Council (ICC) event that the away kits are introduced by the cricket's global governing body.

The sports apparel company, in an official statement, says, "The ODI and Away Kit designs launched this year are inspired by the young new generation of India and the fearless spirit of the national teams."

It also added, "Similar to the recently launched ODI Kit, the away kit is designed to enhance dynamic movements and modern requirement of the sport and the athletes. While the new engineered mesh and strategically placed sweat zones help enhanced breathability for the team on the field, new placket construction, the flex crest, garment cut angles and slash taping all add to making the new jersey lighter, more breathable and helps the athletes be agile on the field."

The India team is currently at the second spot in the points table and is just a win away from securing a semi-final berth.

For sharing the first look of the new jersey, some of the Indian players were engaged in a photo session, apart from MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, other players like Mohammad Shami, KL Rahul, Yuvendra Chahal and Rohit Sharma too donned the new jersey.
