NEW DELHI: Former wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel, who recently announced his retirement from professional cricket, has joined five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Mumbai Indians (MI) as a talent scout, the franchise said in a statement on Thursday. Patel, 35, will "work closely with the Mumbai Indians coaching staff and scouts' group", the franchise said.
"I had enjoyed my cricket playing for Mumbai Indians, those momentous three years with the champion sides remain itched in my memory. It is time now to turn a new chapter in my life," said Patel, who played for MI between 2015 and 2017. IANS
