GUWAHATI: Sib Sankar Roy smashed attacking unbeaten double hundred on Day 1 of the final round of the Nuruddin Ahmed Senior Inter District Cricket tournament at Judges Field on Thursday. With the help of his knock NFRSA, after losing the toss, reached 384 runs in 59 overs losing 4 wickets at stumps against Bongaigaon. Sib Sankar remained unbeaten at 216 runs off only 162 balls. He was well supported by Vijay Kumar Gautam (75 runs off 67 balls) in their unbroken partnership in the rain interupted day.
At ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Morigaon, after electing to bat first against Guwahati, were bundled out for just 132 runs in 41.3 overs. Pabitra Pator was the top scorer with 73 runs from 81 balls. Rohit grabbed 5 wickets for 45 runs. In reply, Guwahati were 223 in 47 overs losing 3 wickets in their first innings at stumps. Erik Roy hit unbeaten 119 runs from 134 balls while veteran Gokul Sharma (70) was with his at close.
At Amingaon Cricket Ground, opted to bat first, Nagaon were bowled out for 168 runs in 55.2 overs against Tinsukia. Abir Chakraborty claimed 6 wickets for 33 runs. In reply, Tinsukia were 59 for 4 in 22 overs at stumps.
At ACA Stadium Ground, Barsapara, Biswanath Chariali, after losing the toss against Barpeta, could score 141 runs in 38.5 overs with the help of Dibash Hazarika's (58) innings. Amlanjyoti Das took 6 wickets for 24 runs. At stumps, Barpeta were 44 for 1 in 15 overs.
