Guwahati Open Tennis begins at the RG Baruah Sports Complex

The competition is carrying a total Scholarship Money of Rs. 1,92,000 and all the winners will be awarded with cash scholarship.

Guwahati: The fifth edition of the Guwahati Open Junior Tennis Championship – 2022, organised by Guwahati Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA), got off to a colourful start at the RG Baruah Sports Complex in the city today. The Championship is being held for both Boy's and Girl's Singles – under 12, 14 and 18 years categories respectively.

The competition is carrying a total Scholarship Money of Rs. 1,92,000 and all the winners will be awarded with cash scholarship. Altogether 110 participants from various parts of the region are taking part in the championship. Eminent veteran sports person Shankar Dutta Lahkar, President, India Club Bijan Kumar Choudhuri, Chief Advisor, GLTA Pronoy Bordoloi and Kalyan Kumar Das, Chairman, Organising Committee attended the inaugural function.
