Triple crown for Assam's Arnavi Debnath in AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament

GUWAHATI: Arnavi Debnath of Assam lifted the triple crown in the AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament which concluded at the Imphal District Tennis Association complex, Manipur yesterday. In the girls U-12 years singles final Arnavi defeated statemate Nayeem Hussain in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. In the girls under 14 years singles final she defeated Jahnavi of Andhra Pradesh 7-5, 6-4 to lift the crown.

In the girls under 14 years doubles Arnavi partnering with Nayeem Hussain of Assam defeated Abha Sarma (Manipur) and Sernya La of Sikkim 6-0, 6-2 to complete the triple crown. In the boys U-14 singles Ayan Bhuyan of Assam defeated Abhay Bharali, also from Assam, 6-1, 6-1 to lift the title.
