The Ultimate Fighting Championship's UFC 269: Oliveira vs. Poirier was a mixed martial arts event held on December 11, 2021, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, which is part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area.
The major highlight included a fight for the UFC Lightweight Championship between current champion Charles Oliveira and previous interim champion Dustin Poirier. At the event, reigning champion Amanda Nunes (also the current UFC Women's Featherweight Champion) faced The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate bantamweight winner Julianna Pea for the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship. The fight was supposed to take place at UFC 265, but it was cancelled after Nunes tested positive for COVID-19.
The event featured a UFC Flyweight Championship trilogy match between current champion Brandon Moreno and former champion Deiveson Figueiredo. On December 12, 2020, the two battled for the first time at UFC 256, which ended in a majority draw (Figueiredo retained the title). On June 12 at UFC 263 in Las Vegas, Moreno claimed the championship by submission in the third round of their second bout.
The bout was moved to UFC 270 due to the inclusion of a welterweight contest between Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards. Masvidal withdrew due to injury in early November, and the bout was called off.
The flyweight bout between former championship candidate Alex Perez and Matt Schnell has been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Till. They were slated to fight at UFC 262, however, Perez had to pull out due to undisclosed circumstances. Before being rescheduled for this event, they were rebooked for UFC on ESPN: Barboza vs. Chikadze. However, owing to unforeseen circumstances, the fight was once again postponed. During the weigh-ins, Perez weighed 126.25 pounds, a quarter-pound over the non-title flyweight contest limit. Soon later, officials announced that the match had been cancelled due to Schnell's forced withdrawal due to a medical issue.
Montana De La Rosa and Maycee Barber were scheduled to compete in a women's flyweight bout at the event. De La Rosa, on the other hand, withdrew from the fight due to injury in early October, and Erin Blanchfield took her place. Barber, on the other hand, stepped down in early November for unknown reasons. Her replacement has been named Miranda Maverick.
André Muniz and Dricus Du Plessis fought in a middleweight bout at the event. Du Plessis, however, withdrew from the tournament due to injury and was replaced by Eryk Anders.
A heavyweight bout between Augusto Sakai and Tai Tuivasa was cancelled from UFC Fight Night: Vieira vs. Tate due to visa issues. Priscila Cachoeira weighed 129 pounds during the weigh-ins, three pounds over the non-title flyweight contest limit. Her bout was held at a catchweight, and she was docked 30% of her prize money as a result.
