GUWAHATI: Veteran Cricket Association of Assam (VCAA) has hailed the moves of Assam Cricket Association (ACA) towards eradicating corruption in the system and also it's approach towards infrastructure development.
In a release the general secretary of the VCAA Nasir Gul Khan said, irregularity and corruption had brought bad name for the cricket body in the past. But it's very encouraging to see the incumbent committee is trying their best to end corruption and make the things transparent.
"We whole heartedly support the initiatives of the Apex Council of ACA and we will extend all kind of help from our side," said Khan.
The VCAA has also praised the decision of the ACA to start infrastructure development work at different places like Tezpur Central University, Nalbari, Amingaon, Farkating, Tinsukia and Biswanath Chariali.
It may be mentioned here that ACA also had recently laid the foundation stone for a modern gymnasium with all the latest available facilities at the ACA Stadium premises in Barsapara along with a huge reception hall. The project is expected to be completed within six months.
