It may also be mentioned that both the teams sound confident and all set to face each other in the Tuesday match, fans of the respective countries are praying for their favourite teams to shine as the winner. However, what is even worrying at this moment is the weather condition as the weather forecast signals at the possibility of showers lashing the game.

The rain might play a spoilsport by pouring in and dampening the spirit of the fans. However, the next matter that creates tension for the fans of the two teams is that if it showers then what will be the consequences. As per rules, if the rain pours in then both the teams will be distributed with one point each. This means, India being in the top of the score table at present with 15 points, if it gets one point for an abandoned match then will still retain its top position and will be the first team to enter into the finals. New Zealand, being the fourth team in the table with 11 points will only secure 12 points and that will leave it still stay in the fourth position.

Hence, even though the match between India and New Zealand is washed out, India will be at the better side and will qualify for the Finals.
