Sikkim: 3 Athletes Clinch Bronze Medals In 54th Asian Physique Sport Championship In Maldives

Gangtok: Three bodybuilders athletes have clinched Broze medals at Maldives, the Bodybuilders Association of Sikkim announced on Monday.

The three athletes who have brought laruels for the state and country are Tenzing Chopel Bhutia, Bhawika Pradhan and Kalpana Chettri.

"Athlete Tenzing Chopel Bhutia bagged 3rd position in men's fitness Model Physique in 54th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sport Championship. Tenzing has made India and of course his home state Sikkim proud," said Pema WD Bhitia, General Secretary of Bodybuilder's Association Sikkim.

Female Athletes also were at par in securing Bronze as Bhawika Pradhan bagged third position in Junior Women's Model Physique below 21 years, while Kalpana Chettri secured fifth position in Senior Women's Model & Physique Sport Championship.

All three are eyeing further tough contest at Phuket, Thailand in December.
