GUWAHATI, Jan 4: Gauhati Town Club (GTC) stormed into the final in the Assam Premier Club Cricket Championship defeating River Rine Club by 7 wickets in the second semi final held at the Nehru stadium here today.
In the final tomorrow the side will now face City Cricket Club at the same venue.
A half century from Amit Das (83) helped River Rine Club to score 178-8 in 40 overs. Basab Mazumdar (34) was the other major contributor. In reply Gauhati Town Club reached the target in 30.1 overs losing 3 wickets. Dhruv Raaj Bora (66) was the top scorer. Gokul Sarma (54) also scored half century in the match. Among the bowlers of River Rine Sawraj Das (3-18) came out with best figure in the game.
