New Delhi: Due to prolong fitness issue, Hardik Pandya might announce his retirement from the long format of the cricket game i.e. Test cricket.

Notably, the injuries have kept him out of bowling action in the recent years and according to media reports, the cricketer has asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) not to consider him for the upcoming South Africa tour.

The reports further revealed that Pandya has spoken about the same with BCCI. And there are possibilities of him saying Good Bye to the longest format of the game before IPL 2022.

Recently, questions were raised on his bowling in the T20 World Cup and in cash-league tournament IPL; he stayed away from the ball. However, it's not only Pandya's fitness, but his form too has remained a hot topic for the discussion in the cricket fraternity. He has failed to show class cricket which he known for.

In the recent concluded T20 World Cup, he played his last international T20 match on November 8, 2021 where he did not get a chance to show his skills both with bat and ball. On the other hand, 11 against Pakistan, 14 against Australia, 12 against England, and when it comes to IPL matches, his score in the last three matches of Mumbai have been 10, 05 and 17. So, it wouldn't be wrong to say that his form is not in a great position.

When it comes Hardik Pandya career, he has so far played 11 Test match where he scored 532 with the help 1 century and 5 half century. In T20 format, the 28-year-old cricketer has scored 553 runs in 54 matches with a strike rate of 146.

On the other hand, in One Day International (ODI) he has scored 1286 in 66 matches. When it comes to bowling, the statistics shows that Pandya has taken 17 wickets in 11 Tests, 57 wickets in 63 ODIs, and 42 wickets in 54 matches of T20.
