Rajasthan Royals: Guwahati make spectacular debut in IPL

GUWAHATI: High scoring game, presence of cheer leaders in the ground, marvellous laser show and equally attractive folk dance- Guwahati make a spectacular debut in IPL on Wednesday evening. With this the waiting for last three years came to an end.

It was 2020 when ACA officials took initiative to bring IPL matches to Guwahati. However the plan was not materialized due to Covid-19. But once the tournament returned to its home and away format Rajasthan Royals bring their two home games in Guwahati.

The atmosphere at the stadium was spectacular today and most of its credit should go to Rajasthan Royals. From crowd management to food stall arrangement-everything was perfect which made the atmosphere very festive and crowed friendly.

The entire gallery today turned pink as most of the spectators entered the stadium with Rajasthan Royals jersey and flag. A souvenir shop was opened inside the stadium complex which helped the crowed to collect team's special jersey and caps.

The day started with cultural show which included folk dance from Rajasthan and North East. It was followed by theme song of Rajasthan Royals sang by noted singer Jai Barua. A laser show during the break of the game added extra flavour in the match.
