Tezpur shocked Guwahati and earned three points by virtue of the first innings lead in the 2nd round of final leg match in Nuruddin Senior Inter District Cricket at the ACA Stadium, Barsapara here today. The match between the two sides ended as a draw but Tezpur managed to earn a crucial 161 runs first innings lead.
In reply to Tezpur's first innings score of 374, Guwahati were bowled out 213-9 in their first innings. Later, following on, Guwahati scored 75-1 in their second innings when the match came to an end.
At the Judges ground the match between Karbi Anglong and Barpeta completely washed out due to wet ground and both the teams shared one point each.
The other two games between Silchar and Nagaon and Dibrugarh and NFRSA were also disturbed because of wet ground and the first innings of either side were not completed in the games. As per the rule, all the teams collected one point each.
At the Amingaon Stadium Silchar, chasing Nagaon's first innings total 118, were 40-2 in the first innings. At Nehru Stadium, Dibrugarh declared their first innings 168-8 and NFRSA were 42-2 when the match came to an end.
